As we were driving out of town, cruising in the right-hand lane, we noticed flashing blue lights ahead. Breanne swiftly flicked on her blinker and smoothly transitioned into the left lane.

Meanwhile, the vehicles trailing behind us continued zooming past the police car in the right lane, prompting Breanne to shake her head in frustration. “In Tennessee, moving to the left lane is legally required when a police car is parked on the shoulder for their safety. But if they don’t enforce it, it might as well not be a law at all,” she remarked, exasperated by the situation.

This insight jumped in my spirit!

Immediately, I rejoiced, knowing it works the same way in the Word of God.

We have been given great and precious promises through the blood of Jesus Christ; however, if we fail to enforce that word, it may as well not be a promise at all.

We will probably never see it if we do not enforce it and stand in faith for it.

2 Peter 1:3 says God has given us EVERYTHING we need for life.

1 Peter 2:24 says we are healed by the stripes of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 8:9 says we are made rich because He (Jesus) became poor for us.

These are powerful words: These promises are not just for the future; they are for us now. But if we don’t hold onto them and fight for them, we might never experience their manifestation in our lives.

1 Timothy 1:18 reminds us that we are called to engage in spiritual warfare using prophetic words. This applies not only to the spoken word but also to the inspired Word of God. Engaging in spiritual warfare involves actively using God’s Word to enforce His promises in our lives.

The New Testament reminds us that we must actively fight for the fulfillment of God’s promises in our lives. Merely wishing for things to happen without taking action is not enough.

We must take God’s Word and fight the good fight of faith. We must firmly and consistently stand on it and refuse to be moved from it until we see the promise manifest.

I can pray for you, but no one can enforce the Word of God in your life like you can. You have so much power! His Word in your mouth is filled with anointed power from God Himself. Things will change when you declare HIS Word over your situation and refuse to move away from it. The problem is that most people grow weary and give up. Don’t let that be you. NEVER GIVE UP.

For you and your family, the promises of God in Christ are yes and amen. Yes, and so be it. It is His promise to you.

So how do we do this? How do we contend?

In our quest for fulfillment, we delve deep into the teachings of the Bible and uncover promises that address our deepest desires. Whether we seek recovery from illness, financial prosperity, or salvation for our loved ones, we discover relevant scriptures to guide us. Armed with these words, whenever adversity arises, we confront it head-on and assertively declare the truths we’ve unearthed. Just as Jesus did in the wilderness, we boldly proclaim, “it is written,” firmly establishing the authority of the Word of God.

The power of God’s Word is unwavering and effective. When it is spoken and sent forth, it will achieve its purpose. However, without being sent, it cannot fulfill its intended work. Just as seeds must be sown to yield a harvest, the Word must be proclaimed to bring about its intended impact. It’s time to release the Word into the atmosphere and actively bring God’s promises to fruition in our lives. Without enforcement, a promise holds no weight. Let’s not allow God’s promises to slip past us. Let’s actively apply and enforce His Word in our lives, and witness His promises coming to life, starting right now.
