Over this past weekend, I began to hear a phrase over and again. It was not a wording I would normally use; therefore, it captured my attention. The phrase was, “employ the angels.” The word, employ, means to give a job to or to make use of. Because this sentence would not leave me, I took some time to study and research about angles and how they relate to us. I wanted a better understanding of what God was prompting me to do…employ the angels.
Employ the angels. Give them a job to do. Make use of them. This should make perfect sense to us knowing what the Word of God says about angels and their part in our life. We, as born-again Christians, have a right to utilize the ministry of angels God has provided. God made these ministering angels available to us through the new covenant. If we are not tapping into this powerful resource, we are missing out. Let’s look at how we can effectively employ the angels.
Speak the Word of God.
Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure. (Ps 103:20-21)
The angels of God listen for His Word to be spoken out of your mouth. When they hear those Words, they go to work on your behalf. However, if you choose to speak the opposite of the Word of God, you tie their hands. They cannot help you unless you are speaking the voice of the Word of God. It is YOUR words that give the angels charge.
In the book of Daniel, the angel told Daniel, “Your words were heard; and I have come because of your words” (Dan 10:12). Daniel’s words put the angel to work for him. You and I can do the same.
Pray for the Assistance of Angels.
When you ask God to employ our angels, He will do it. In Matthew 26, Jesus told the people that He could have prayed, and God would send 12 legions of angels to assist Him. Whatever God would do for Jesus, He will also do for you and I. Prayer releases angels to work on your behalf.
The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe] and each of them He delivers. (Ps 34:7, AMP)
When you employ the angels of the Lord, they will rush to your defense. I love how the Amplified Bible says, EACH OF THEM, He delivers.
Angels Enforce Your Covenant Rights
Angels are covenant enforcing agents. If the Bible says it belongs to us – the angels will help get it to us, if we employ them. Luke 12:32 says, Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 3 John 1:2 assures us that God wants us in health and walking in soul prosperity. Angels are here on assignment. They exist for a purpose. They are here to establish God’s covenant in our lives. If it is part of the Kingdom of God, they will help get it to us. Financial prosperity, healing, protection, peace of mind, whatever it is, they are there to act upon the Word of God coming out of your mouth.
Jerry Savelle said, “God wants us to expect accelerated activity of the angels in the last days.”
I believe this is the truth – why else would God prompt me to employ the angels and share this message with you. He wants us to employ them and expect to see an increase of angelic activity in our lives.
Do you feel something is holding back the promises of God in your life? If so, employ God’s angels. Give them an assignment. Give them something to work with. Nothing can stop the angles of God when they are working on our behalf. Remember when Peter was in prison, in chains? The angels of the Lord delivered him. The bars didn’t stop them. The doors and fences didn’t delay them. The chains didn’t make deliverance difficult for them. No, when God sent them to do a job, they completed that assignment. Whatever is holding back your deliverance is no match for God’s army of angels. Today – employ the angels of God and watch things change for the good.
