Yesterday, I shared with you something God had spoken to me about angels. I was excited about what God had shown me and I fully expected to see quick results from employing the angels of God.
Early the next morning, as I was walking through my house, I began to talk out loud to God. I said, “I would think, if I employ angels at Your word, I will see quick results.” To which God quickly took me to scripture. The book of Daniel, to be precise. Perhaps you never talk to God like that, but we are in a relationship, so I take my concerns to Him. He is always quick to straighten me out when my thinking is wrong.
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.” (Dan 10:12-13)
Daniel had prayed to God. Immediately God sent His angels to answer Daniel’s prayer. Immediately. The moment his words were heard in heaven. Take note that God said, “I have come because of your words.” As I said in yesterday’s writing – our words must line up with God’s Word and His plan.
However, Daniel didn’t receive an immediate response. At least not as far as he could see. BUT, God DID immediately respond. God did not hesitate to send angels to help Daniel understand.
The Bible tells us that the angels of God were delayed or withstood for 21 days. For twenty-one days, the angels of God fought to get the answer through to Daniel. They didn’t stop until the answer was manifested. So, what was God telling me that morning? He was saying, “Don’t stop, the answer is on the way, even if the enemy tries to delay it, he cannot succeed, stand firm and continue confessing the Word of God.”
The Bible says no weapon formed against us shall prosper. It also tells us when we pray, we will receive an answer. God does not lie. If He has said it, He will do it. Our job is to stand in faith and continue to trust in His unfailing Word and His faithfulness.
Today, if you have employed your angels – if you have released them to bring forth the Word of God into your life – do not become discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Take heart knowing God heard your prayer. The MOMENT He heard your prayer, He was faithful to send answers. Even if you can’t see those answers immediately. Even if the enemy tries to hinder them. God will not stop until you see His goodness in your life. Trust Him. He will not fail you.
My friends, we serve a faithful God. One who never lies and one who always wins. Our job is to stand firm. To confess the Word. To refuse to give up. If God said employ your angels – and you did – know this – they are working on your behalf. Ask God to allow you to see from His perspective. Elisha prayed in 2 Kings 6, that God would open the eyes of his servant so he could see the hosts of heaven at work on their behalf. That is my prayer for you today. That God would open your eyes to see the hosts of angelic beings that are working for you right now, even as you read this. May God answer this prayer today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
