A few days ago, I shared what the Lord revealed to me about removing mountains or obstacles that stand in our way, little by little. As I continued to study this topic, I came across another scripture that I want to share with you today:

Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hooves bronze.” (Micah 4:13)

The word “arise” in this scripture means to stand up, endure, rise up, and decree. God is saying, “Arise, stand up, endure to the end, rise up, and decree My Word to your mountain.” This connects directly to what Jesus said in the New Testament.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. (Mark 11:23)

Yes, we are to speak to the mountain, and perhaps it will move the first time we speak. If it doesn’t, then what?

We abide. We endure. We keep speaking to it. We rise up and decree every single day, dozens of times a day if necessary. What we don’t do, is quit.

I am reminded of 1 Samuel 30:6.

Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

This scripture comes from a time when David had lost everything—his family and all his possessions. To make matters worse, those who were with him blamed him for their misfortunes, to the point where they wanted to stone him. David was deeply distressed. However, what he did next became a pivotal moment that ultimately led him to victory.

The Bible says, David strengthened himself in the Lord.

The phrase means that he committed himself fully to the Lord and His promises, which helped him grow stronger. He bound himself to God and became steadfast in his faith. We must do the same. When it feels like everything is working against us, we need to anchor ourselves in God and His Word. By doing this, we become stronger and more determined.

We lose strength when we start to doubt God’s promises or His word. Our true strength lies in God and the promises He makes to His people. One of those promises is that if we speak to the mountain, it will move.

He doesn’t claim that it will be easy. He doesn’t say that the enemy won’t oppose us. He doesn’t even suggest that it will happen overnight. However, He does promise that it will happen. God is not a man that He should lie. If He said it, He will do it. If He promised it, it will come to pass—as long as we refuse to give up.

James 1:6-7 says…

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

My friend, we must be steadfast. We cannot afford to waver back and forth. We must bind ourselves to God, His promises and His Word and continue to speak to our mountain. As we do, perhaps little by little, or maybe in the blink of an eye, that mountain will crumble and be removed. We have His Word on it.
