Today, I felt led to share a word with you from a friend, writer and fellow minister. Enjoy Karen Hardin’s word today. It blessed me and I believe it will bless you too!
I woke up this morning with the words, Lord of the Dance, running through my mind. As I began to sing the chorus, the Lord spoke out that it is a word to us right now to sing out over our nation, over our cities, in our homes. We are to dance, to rejoice and to take the land.
“Dance, dance wherever you may be. I am the Lord of the dance said He. And I’ll lead you all wherever you may be, and I’ll lead you all in the dance said He.”
As soon as I finished He spoke to my heart, “I am leading my people prophetically in this hour to dance. It is time to rejoice. It is time to celebrate and it is time to take the land. I am leading them.”
Every place we have set our feet, He has given it to us. For those that have faith for a small region, go take that region. For those that have faith for a larger area, go take it. But He said, “I’ll lead you all wherever you may be.” You are in a strategic place right now. It is your seat of authority to take the land through prayer and response. He is guiding and directing your steps wherever you are right now. This is not a word for the future, but right now for the present.
Strategies are coming forth. This is good news. Strategies to plant and to pull up.
Strategies for new paradigms that have never been introduced before.
Strategies for business, to get out of debt and take new land.
Strategies for health and healing.
This is a time for strategic partnerships and alliances. It is also a time to recognize that this is a new season. Old things have passed away. Some have been unwilling or reluctant to walk away from past strategies, ideas or relationships that have been strategic in the past, but are no longer bearing fruit. You are calling for resurrection when He has said they are for the past season. There are times we call for resurrection, when instead we need to recognize that some things are just completed and it is ok to move on to the next season.
There are times and seasons. We cannot remain in a season when it is past or we will miss entering the new season that has come. Some need to sit and ask which relationships are necessary to leave in the past. (I’m not talking about marriages here.) And which are the God ordained alliances for today. As you take hold and walk in them they will produce much fruit. Others can become shackles to our feet if we allow those to remain that He has said are to be left in the past season. Listen.
He said, “It is also a time to prepare and prepare well. Prepare the soil of your heart and your home.”
I had a strange phenomenon happen recently at my home. Every fall I pull up the summer flowers that cannot with stand the harsh winter temperatures to come and I replace them with pansies. For those that don’t know, pansies are flowers that are hardy and can withstand snow, freezing rain and frigid temperatures. I have two large flower beds in front of my home and 5 planters. Each fall I fill them all with purple and yellow pansies that bloom and bring color and life throughout the winter. It reminds me that there is life even in winter seasons.
But this year all my pansies withered and died. All of them. And yet they were planted in the same soil as my summer plants that had flourished. There was no reason they should all whither. That had my attention. Then my husband and I noticed that at least half the grass in our yard had also just disappeared so that all that remained was dirt in the entire front half of our yard and even in our backyard most of the grass was now gone. All that remained was just dirt. The Lord often uses things in the natural to speak of things in the spiritual. I knew in this instance, He was speaking.
I emailed my friend Kim Potter, who also writes for Elijah List, and mentioned it to her. I wanted to get someone else’s perspective.
“The thing that comes to me,” Kim shared, “is the SOIL.”
Kim went on to remind me of an important truth, that regardless of what is planted, if the soil is not good soil, then it cannot breed life and growth.
Immediately the Lord spoke and reminded me of what He had already been speaking to me for the last several weeks, “It is a time to prepare and prepare well. Prepare the soil of your heart and your home. Take the land while the time is ripe. Do not delay. This season of opportunity will not always exist. It is for this season.”
There is coming a time of tremendous blessing and outpouring, especially in the financial realm. It is upon us. It is a time to prepare, get out of debt and invest where He speaks for it is a time of unprecedented multiplication. But it is also for a reason, because just as in the days when Joseph stood beside the Pharaoh of Egypt and declared six years of bounty, it was followed by six years of famine. The provision of that time, when used wisely, would take them through the famine that was to come.
So it is for us in this day. Supernatural provision and blessing are being poured out, but it is a provision for both now and for the future for it will be followed by severe famine and drought in many ways. (I do not know if our time frame of blessing followed by famine will be the same as the six years of biblical days. I do not sense it will be that long.)
There is no fear in that word. It is a word of preparation. He is preparing for our provision with an outpouring, but we in turn are to prepare our soil and be wise and to recognize the times and seasons.
It is time to prepare the soil of our hearts and homes. It is time to dance and take the land where He is leading you and guiding you. It is a window of opportunity.
Prayer for Today: Father, help me prepare the soil of my heart and the soil of my home. Put a new dance in my feet and cause me to dance into the land you have for me as I lay hold of this window of opportunity. In Jesus name. Amen.
