I was listening to Pastor Bill Winston this morning, when I heard him make this statement… “somewhere that you are not.”

As my day progressed, I could not get this statement off my mind, somewhere that you are not. I began to ponder this idea of being somewhere that you are not. I could think of several places that I am not, but desire to be. How about you?

Somewhere that you are not could be walking in your manifested healing. It could be living a life of debt freedom. It could be moving into your dream home. Somewhere you are not could even be seeing your children walking with the Lord and living in peace. Where is your…somewhere that you are not?

We have such amazing promises from God. Everything we could ever need to live an abundant life is ours through the blood of Jesus. Sadly, many will never see those promises fulfilled, but that’s not God’s fault. He has done His part. The rest is up to us.

It is up to us to lay hold of the promises of God. We have a blood-bought right to those promises. We have instruction on how to receive those promises in the word of God. The rest is up to us.

It all begins with our thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 says, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

I believe it is quite profound that the word, thinks, is defined as, to split open, to reason out, and to act as a gatekeeper.

Whatever we allow in our thoughts will be what we become. If we constantly think negatively, it will draw the negative to us. None of us want that, do we? Of course not!

It is our job, our part, to renew our mind to the promises of God. We must put His holy word in our heart and in our thoughts until His word alone is our response to whatever may come our way.

If you find yourself worried or anxious, your mind has not yet been renewed. However, when you respond immediately with the word of God and nothing else, then you know, your mind has been renewed. You are walking and thinking like Jesus thinks.

There is no greater truth than the word of God. Once that truth is firmly planted in your mind, things will begin to change.

We cannot half believe God. We cannot try faith. That, my friend, is called unbelief. The Bible says a man who wavers will receive nothing from the Lord. We must put our trust firmly and completely in God and His word.

I have a challenge for you today. Think of that place…that somewhere that you are not today. Where is that place? Is it living a debt free life? Is it married to a godly man or woman? Is it seeing miracles, signs and wonders? Where is that place for you? Do you have it in your mind? Great! Now.

Search the word of God, find scriptures that will renew your mind to that place, write them down and place them before your eyes.

Read, confess, declare the word of God for your somewhere you are not today, do that until you are in that place. Each time you think of that place declare His word over it. Declare the word until it is your first response, until the impossible seems logical to you. Do it until you arrive there and are standing firm on your promised land.

My friend, nothing is impossible with God. If it aligns with His word and you believe it, you can have it. That somewhere you are not today can become somewhere you have arrived. It’s His word. Take it and run with it.
