159Only a few people know the story I am about to share with you, and each of those have said ‘I can’t believe you haven’t shared this with your readers!’

I haven’t shared it because I have had a hard time reconciling it in my own mind, even though I was there and witnessed it for myself.

This week, one of our prayer partners asked if I had seen any results from the prayers they have been praying over me, I knew I had to share this story to answer her question. I knew this incident was a part of that answered prayer in glorious manifestation. This is longer than normal but well worth the read.

Here’s my story, actually the story belongs to a woman named Wanda, whom I had never met.

It was a normal day, Breanne and I had worked at the office all day, then she picked up the kids from school. They like to come by Nana’s house but that day Breanne wanted to go home…however she had to come and pick something up from my house first. Her intention was to be there a few minutes, no more.

I don’t really know why, but we started talking about something, then the kids were hungry so I cooked dinner and cleaned up the kitchen. They ended up being at my house much longer than anticipated.

I started into the laundry room to grab the broom when I heard Breanne yell to me from the kitchen.

She had walked over to the kitchen to put something in the sink, the second she looked out the window, she yelled ‘CALL 911 Mom!’ She then started running out the door. You see at the specific moment she looked out the window, she saw a car flip and go off into a creek located near my home.

I did not see what was happening and I knew Breanne was not good in panic situations and I couldn’t let her walk upon something she couldn’t handle. I grabbed my house phone, which only works in my house, and ran alongside her truck as she headed to the car. I don’t know how I kept up with her but I did.

When we arrived at the bank of the creek, Breanne ran down the bank. We heard a woman yelling ‘HELP, HELP ME!’ I called 911 while Breanne checked on the person in the car. They assured me someone was on the way. Now, by this time I was an eighth of a mile from my house and MY HOUSE PHONE WORKED; that has never happened. Praise God.

Breanne and I both had on flip flops, therefore navigating down to the creek through sharp rocks and briars was no easy task in itself.

I hung up the phone and looked at Breanne, her eyes were panicked. She was motioning to me that it was a woman and she was cut badly and bleeding profusely. I called 911 back, YES, it worked again, and told them this update. They said ‘where is she bleeding from?’ I asked Breanne and she pointed to her throat. I relayed the message.

I hung up the phone again and started down the bank toward the vehicle. Breanne came up the bank as I was going down. She told the woman ‘we are getting help, this is my Mom, she is going to pray for you.’

As I arrived at the bottom of the bank, the car was upside down in the creek and the woman was on the passenger side, still buckled in her seatbelt. I have never seen so much blood in my life. It was a continual flow from her neck. I looked down in the bottom of the car just before I prayed and it appeared the car was filled with her blood, at least a gallon of blood was there and she was still bleeding. It appeared the seat belt was in her neck and it appeared other things were hanging out of her neck, it was a gruesome sight. To this day I don’t know how Breanne saw this and didn’t faint. God was indeed with us both that day, especially Breanne.

The woman kept saying ‘get me out of here, cut the seat belt.’ But Breanne didn’t feel we should do that. I reached in the car, took her bloody hand and said ‘what’s your name?’ She replied ‘Wanda.’ I said ‘Wanda, I am going to pray with you, okay?’ She responded ‘okay.’ I began to pray. I could hear myself praying very loud and I knew I should probably quieten down, but I couldn’t. It felt like this was all going on outside of myself.

I was praying loud and very forcefully. Breanne later told me this, she said ‘Mom, the moment you began to pray I felt a huge wave of peace wash over me.’

I had never been in a situation like that, seeing what I was seeing but still able to pray and not panic. After about 15 minutes, no kidding, 15 minutes, help finally arrived. I walked up the bank as the men came down, I had blood on my arms and my face from staying with her and praying.

In the meantime, Breanne had flagged down cars to try to get help, I am sure we appeared very odd to those passing by. She was jumping in front of cars to stop them and was having to yell over my loud praying.

So, help arrived and we walked up the hill to the road, Breanne went to my house to check on the kids and to have a meltdown. I later sent one of the emergency workers to check on her and she was crying. She told him that the woman wanted to be cut loose and Breanne didn’t think she should, but she didn’t know if she had done the right thing. The responder said ‘honey, be glad you didn’t cut her loose, the seat belt was the only thing holding her arteries in, she would have bled to death if you had cut her loose.’

The emergency team called LifeForce to fly her to a hospital, it appeared that bad. We watched all this unfold from the back porch of my house, still shaken.

Neither of us slept that night, we both kept seeing the gruesome images over and over again. We had met the woman’s family at the scene and we were praying for all of them.

The following morning we were still dealing with the emotions of the night before when we heard Wanda was no longer at the hospital. Knowing the severity of her injuries and how long it took to get her out of her vehicle and fly her to the hospital, we were saddened to think she had not made it. We consoled ourselves with knowing we had done all we could and we prayed diligently with her and for her.

It was a couple hours later that Breanne got a text about Wanda. Now, here’s the rest of the story…

Wanda’s family arrived at the hospital ten minutes after the helicopter. When they arrived, Wanda was cleaned up, sitting up and about to be discharged. She didn’t have a scratch on her.

She remembered nothing, she wasn’t even sore the following day.
We do not know what happened from the time she left in the helicopter until she arrived at the hospital, but this we do know, she didn’t have a scratch on her upon arrival, no surgery, no stitches, not even a Band-Aid.

That day, Breanne and I received a visit from her family. They were as perplexed as we were. They had seen the blood, and the fact she was cut out of her car after 30 minutes of profuse bleeding. They even went back to look at the car again to make sure they saw what they thought they saw…and the blood was still there. Only God.

As I told one of her family members, that day I truly saw the impossible happen right before my eyes. We all did.

Prayer works. Your prayers are working, please don’t stop.
We serve a God who can do anything! I don’t care how it looks, looks can be deceiving, only God knows the outcome and we have to trust Him for that. God is a God of the impossible, I have seen it with my own eyes…what an awesome God we serve.

So prayer warriors, when you asked me ‘are our prayers being heard? Are you seeing a fulfillment of more of God in your life? Are you experiencing more of his peace? Are you seeing His mighty hand in your life? Is He visiting you?’ The answer to that question is a resounding YES! OH YES!

I am seeing more of God not only in my life, but in Breanne’s as well. I don’t know if any of you have dealt with panic attacks but this is something my daughter has had to battle. For her to walk through that day with peace and stability was a miracle.

For her to see the vehicle the second it flipped was a miracle. Had she not seen it, it would have been a long time before anyone found her vehicle as it wasn’t visible from the road. The woman would have very possibly bled to death.

The things God put in place to save that woman that day, it was a miracle. That day we witnessed miracle after miracle, a total demonstration of the goodness of our God. Praise God! Praise God!

Thank you for praying…yes, God has heard your prayers and yes, we are seeing the results.
