Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice. (Ps 55:17)

God brought this scripture to mind the first weekend of February. He emphasized the evening, morning and noon to me. I knew there was something He was leading me to do – and He wanted me to do it three times a day.

I delved into some of the meanings in this scripture, hoping to get clarity and direction.

The word, pray, means to talk, meditate, speak, pray, commune with, declare, sing or converse.

The word, aloud, means to make a noise, a sound, to be loud, and to be moved.

After praying and spending time with God, I felt what He led me to do three times a day was to worship for 15 minutes, morning, noon and in the evening before I went to bed. The first day, to be honest, it felt like the 15 minutes was so long. However, by the second day, it felt very brief and I often went past my 15 minutes.

My days had become so busy that I was not taking the time I should to make time for worship – this simple act changed that. Now, that may not seem like a lot of time to you – but I can tell you this – it is making a great impact on the tangible anointing and presence of God upon me and surrounding me and in my home.

On day two, my noon worship had me totally undone, His presence was so strong. I could hardly wait for the next time of worship. During that particular time, I felt His pleasure with what I was doing. I knew I was on the right track.

Today, I felt led to share this with you and challenge you to take 7 or 10 days and seek God in some way three times a day. Or take a month.

For you, it may not be worship. It may be spending 15 minutes three times a day in prayer. Or it may be spending 15 minutes, three times a day in worship. Or in the Word of God, declaring His Word. Remember, part of the definition was sound – so whatever you choose to do, do it out loud. Whatever it is, I put forth this challenge to commit to do this for a few days.

Before I am asked, I will try to explain what I do in my times of worship.

I am not a singer, but I sing to God. I do not sing songs about what He has done or what I want Him to do. I sing songs TO Him ABOUT Him and who He is. Songs like…

I Came to Worship You.

You are Holy.

You Name is Master, Savior, Lion of Judah.

I Stand in Awe of You.

You may feel differently, however, when I worship, I don’t sing songs about what I need God to do – I sing to Him about who He is and His holiness. I hope that makes sense. Also, there are many times, Holy Spirit gives me songs to sing that I have never heard – He just gives me the words to sing to God.

That’s what I do.

I have noticed with each time I engage in communing with God through worship – the anointing of God and His presence is not only becoming stronger but shows up immediately when I begin. I know He is pleased.

I don’t know who needed to hear this today – but perhaps this is your answer. I know it is life-changing for me. That’s what I feel God keeps speaking to me… “LIFE CHANGING.” I don’t know about you – but I desire some life-changing to take place.

God is so good. He wants us to see our desires even more than we do and He shows us the path to victory – may we be diligent to stay on His path, whatever that may be for you.
