It was early one morning; I was preparing to partake of my communion meal. As I went to place my elements on my table, the Lord spoke to me and said, “He will guide you into all truth.” I knew the scripture He was speaking of. It is found in John 16:13.
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
Let’s look at that scripture in the Amplified Bible.
But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].
The Lord continued to speak to my heart saying, “He will guide you into the truth concerning healing. He will guide you into the truth concerning needs being met. He will guide you into the truth concerning restoration. He will guide you into truth concerning peace of mind. He will guide you into ALL truth.”
I LOVE THIS!
For the past few months, I have purposely asked Holy Spirit to show me things. Even when I have lost an item, I have asked Holy Spirit to show me where it is. He has been faithful to answer and show me every single time – EVERY SINGLE TIME.
You see, I had been made aware that I talked with God and Jesus often, yet I didn’t spend as much time talking or fellowshipping with Holy Spirit. I was almost ignoring Him. That was not good. So, I purposed in my heart to talk with Him, pray in the Spirit and include Him in my days. It was wonderful. He is very helpful and eager to help.
Now, today, God is reminding me that it is HIM, HOLY SPIRIT, who will lead me and guide me into all truth. God said HE WILL – it’s a sure thing – lead me into all truth.
What journey are you on today? Where do you need the Holy Spirit to lead you?
This past year, when I would go through a battle, or a challenge, I would pray to Holy Spirit. I would pray, “Holy Spirit, You know the way to victory, show me the way to victory.” Or I would pray, “Holy Spirit, You know the shortest route to the other side of this – lead me and guide me in the way I should go to get on the other side of this.”
Time after time, He has been faithful to show me the way through.
My friends, Jesus left us an awesome gift, Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Truth. The One who leads us and guides us into all truth. The One who shows us the way through every single challenge if we will only call upon Him and seek His guidance. He is ready and waiting for you to call upon Him for wisdom, for truth, and for instruction.
Let’s look at some other things the Bible has to say about Holy Spirit.
For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say. (Lu 12:12)
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (Acts 1:8)
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. (Jude 1:20)
For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:3-5)
So we see from scripture – Holy Spirit helps us in the following areas.
If we need to know the right words to say.
If we need power to perform miracles, and healing.
If we need joy and peace.
If we need to build up our faith.
If we need washing, cleansing or renewal.
If we need guidance or to know the truth.
Even from this short list we see we can’t live a life of success without the Holy Spirit. We should be including Him in every hour of our life. I encourage you today to purpose in your heart to spend time talking with Holy Spirit, asking for His help and obeying His instruction. Life will be so much better as we do.
