Not too long ago I read something online that I felt was not only powerful, but timely. It seems lately, the Lord is cautioning me about who I allow to lay hands on me and those I invite into my inner circle. There are people who will simply drain the life out of you. Perhaps they don’t mean to, but nevertheless, they do. Then there are those who impart life to us – we must discern in this time which is which and guard our hearts and our spirit. I hope you enjoy this read by Jessica Jecker. I thought it was good and wanted to share it with you today. Perhaps it is for someone.

I heard the Holy Spirit say, “you can’t give your oil away.”

The anointing you carry is for the people, but the oil in your lamp is for you.

The oil speaks of the intimacy between you and Jehovah.

It was produced in seasons of crushing and in hours of being hidden away.

It was poured out in the times of deep travail and intense warfare.

It was bought in the midnight hour when the crowds of people weren’t around to see you.

Lamps were filled when your cheeks were tear stained and you lifted your shaking hands to heaven.

The oil was found while your face was buried into the carpet and you assumed a posture of total surrender.

And I want to warn those that carry the oil in this hour that there will be some who come to you asking for your oil, but what you possess came at far too high a price for you to just give it away.

You are going to have to tell people “no” as we cross over into a new season in the Ekklesia.

The oil on your life is going to sustain, but if you don’t learn to protect it, you will find yourself lacking when the Bride Groom comes.

You are going to have to realize that not everyone is good for you and not everyone should be in your inner circle.

There will be those who try to dilute or defile the oil and you are going to have to be okay with dusting your feet off and walking away from anyone who taints what heaven gave you.

You must guard what you have been entrusted to carry.

God showed me people who walk around as spiritual leeches not too long ago and their only goal was to drain men and women of God.

They latch onto you and try to get you to spill some of your oil.

They try to steal your time and to distract you from your assignment.

But, you carry the vessels for the Lord and you cannot lose focus on what He has commissioned you to do.

You cannot forsake the secret place where the oil is produced for anyone.

You need to use spiritual discernment more than ever in this hour and you need to be wise as a serpent and as gentle as a dove.

The anointing you were given can only help others if your lamp is full.

Burn bright, but don’t give your oil away friends.
