Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. If our heart is unhealthy our body can’t function correctly and it may eventually cause death. The statistics can be frightening concerning hearts; we can easily see how important it is to keep our heart healthy.
It is just as vital to have a healthy heart, spiritually speaking. God tells us in Proverbs 4:23 to ‘above all else, guard our heart, for out of it flow the issues of life.’ It is the very source of life. Over 800 times God speaks about the heart, this alone should show you how vital it is to guard your heart.
The heart works as a filter, it filters pain, hurt, dreams, visions, hopes, anger, bitterness, love, and so on. It affects everything. If our heart isn’t right, we can’t even sleep. Our heart affects our health, our joy, our relationships, our success or failures and our peace of mind. If your heart is heavy it is almost impossible to accomplish anything.
I have often seen people stand in faith for healing for their bodies. They stood and stood and finally the Lord revealed to them that they had bitterness or unforgiveness in their heart. Once they repented and released those emotions, their healing quickly came. I have seen this take place over and over.
I have seen the same thing happen in finances. The Bible says if you have bitterness against someone, go and fix it before you bring your offering. It is that important to God that our heart is right toward Him and toward others. Sometimes a true heart change is all it takes to bring forth manifestation.
At the same time, sometimes bitterness and unforgiveness in your heart is all it takes to hinder your prayers. I know, we don’t like to hear things like this but if something like this is all the revelation you need to see the manifestation of your promise, isn’t it worth taking a look at your heart to make sure it is healthy? Of course it is.
God wants you to live the best life possible and He has given us His word to teach us how to do just that, we simply have to follow His principles.
I know people have hurt and disappointed you. I fully understand, but is it really worth hindering the promise of God from being brought to fruition in your life? Is it really work being sick spiritually? As you get rid of bitterness, healing and prosperity can and will flow.
I know sometimes the enemy will attempt to hinder your blessing, but believe me, he has no power to stop God’s work from coming to pass in your life. Therefore, for me personally, if I have prayed and prayed about something and saw no answer, I ask God to check my heart and show me anything in it that I need to fix. I ask Him to show me any hidden sin in my heart. I cry out to God for a heart change. I don’t want anything standing between me and God. Someone may have torn my heart out but that, even that, is not worth having a separation between me and God. It is not worth my prayers going unanswered. It is not worth my offerings not having the blessing of God on them. It is simply not worth it.
I want every single one of you to see God move mightily in your life. I want you to see the full manifestation of every prayer you have prayed. Yet to see those things come to pass, we must obey God. We must keep our heart right, empty of all bitterness and unforgiveness. Then the blessing can flow freely.
My friends don’t allow anything to hinder your blessing. Don’t allow your heart to hinder what you need from God. Ask God to search your heart today and make sure it is right before Him. Forgive if you need to. Release if you should. Love and let go.
Whatever it takes, keep your heart spiritually healthy and free. In doing so, nothing will hinder your promise from coming to pass. Nothing.
